What a great idea to promote the drink we love! A Bombay martini, to me, is the best way to slowly watch the day's troubles fade away (depending on how much you drink, it may be "fade to black"). And if you want faster results, drink faster!

For me the perfect Bombay martini is served partially naked (on the rocks, two olives, no vermouth), with my middle finger raised as I drink (instead of my pinky). This is to partially recognize that the British have done something right with making a great Gin, and partially to recognize my overall dislike of the British Government and Queen Bitch. As an Irish-American, what better way to remember what is going on in the "homeland" than to have a Brit-made drink!

Also, I am a traditionalist and like the standard Bombay in my martini (not Saphire). Unusually, I like Saphire in my G&T's instead. I wonder how many others agree?

Bye for now, and sorry to mix politics with drink (that is definitely a Barrett tradition, however).
