Displaying HTML Images
Images <IMG SRC =HTML4.gif height=140 width=108 border=0 alt="HTML 4 for the World Wide Web: Visual QuickStart Guide"></A> IMG puts the image on the page.
Although you can display an image without using the height, width, and alt tags, it is not considered to be good HTML. Leaving out the height and width tags can increase the loading time of the image and the alt tag is very important during times when an image is not being displayed. For example, this would happen when a viewer has turned off the automatic image loading feature on their browser. Image auto-loading is sometimes turned off on a browser to speed up the loading time of pages. The alt tag is also important for the usage of special software used by the blind for seeing what is on a web page. Searching for job, career or employees?
