2.In the Program document you can absolutely add the program which is basically your requirement for mailing of few files thro Lotus Notes everyday or after every hour or so. Or even you can run the Agent on the Lotus Notes server side to send the mail to whomsoever you want. Agents are very powerful for such applications.
