Pl. make either Push-Pull or Pull-Push replication. Set which fields or documents you would like to replicate.
Pl. don't replicate the database which is quite large in the size.
I think there should not be any relation with the screen while you replicate.
I have been doing replication over the telephone lines between locations which runs into say about 30Kms. just check your phone cables and is there any disturbance.
