One book that a lot of people like is Java Certification Exam Guide For Programmers and Developers by Barry Boone.

A CD-ROM is included. I like the book because every section indicates information that appears on the test and information that does not appear. There are also example test questions. I don't get to spend as much time as I would like to with this book, but the time I spend with it is always productive.

Go to the address above and read all of the reviews written by others that have used the book to prepare for the exam. You will also find the table of contents there.
