i think learning C++ will be a good idea just because it gives a good understanding about Object Oriented Concepts and how they are implemented in C++.
Then learning java will become easier for you.
Learning 'C' won't be a necessary.

I know C and I know java ... I have done very little in C++. I was told that this was in fact the best was to learn java. If you know C then you know the basic outlay but knowing C++ first can cause people to get confused about which is which. Also people who know C++ first tend to try to use a C method on Java and this can lead to unecessary work and often round-about solutions to problems
