I looked at this page for information on your problem: Prodigy FAQ

I was confused at first because with browsers I use, you don't have to do anything special to read Java. Most later version browsers in use read Java.

If you are not able to see Java with whatever browser you are using, then your browser is probably not capable of reading it. I don't know how old your browser is, but if it's too old, it can't read Java. Get a later version browser if this is the case. The address above provides some information about using different browsers with Prodigy that may help. If I were you, I would download, for free, a Netscape or Internet Explorer browser if you are not currently using one. You can do that at Browsers or you can download the latest version of HotJava from the creators of Java.

If I knew more about your PC, and possible limitations that Prodigy may place on your selection of browsers, I could tell you more about which one to download.
