Please find enclosed that I recently (last year anyway) wrote when thinking about my late Mother who died nearly twelve years ago:

W I S H

I wish we could talk
Just one more time
Showing you that everything
Turned out just fine
I wish I could feel
Your breath on my face
Together again
In our special place
I wish I could smell
The perfume you wore
Take a stroll with you
Along a lovely shore
I wish I could show you
How much I cared
To open my eyes
And you would be there
I wish that somehow
It had all been a dream
As now there's no-one
To be on my team
I wish how I wish
With all of my heart
That you and I
Were not far apart
I wish things were different
And not as they are
I miss you so much
You were my guiding star
