Calling Pipes

Each time I hear a " Bag of Pipes ",
I hear a calling home.
A place afar, and yet...so near.
A time before the phone.

Each time I hear the " fiddle whine, "
And strike a melody,
I almost see before...a time,
When once it brought to me.

Each time I hear the " Gaelic song,"
I feel it in my soul,
Marked emotions where they belong.
In perspective, life is whole.

Each time I see the " Gaelic dance, "
Excitement stirs inside.
A bawdy tripping, or waltz...romance,
With common girl, or bride.

Each time I hear a " Bag of Pipes,"
I hear a calling home.
A place afar, and yet...so near.
Sacred, as my own.
