In the darkness
Somewhere the voice of a friend
I turn to listen as it disappears into the wind
I hear nothing but silence
Nothing but silence
The vision of a love
Long since gone and dead
I look to see... just a memory in my head
I see nothing but darkness
Nothing but darkness
Why do I still feel you touch my skin
Why would I still open my heart and let you in
Why would I still give you my love when you didn't want it then
I walk alone
Companionship found in despair
Suddenly immune to the chill of the cruel night air
I feel nothing but sorrow
Nothing but sorrow
